Kristen Euretig is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, educator and founder of the blog young, broke & AWESOME! She helps people get on track with their finances by grounding the plan in the individual values, goals and dreams of her clients. Once that is established, she focuses on the details: paying down debt, improving credit, saving, investing, and bringing spending in line with what’s important to each client.
Kristen combines her background in education as a teacher of English as a Second Language with her knowledge and passion for personal finance to teach finance as a second language. Her Masters in Education and Certified Financial Planner™ designation provide her with a unique educational take on financial planning.
Her experience with hundreds of clients at a private financial planning firm and a non-profit serving low-income New Yorkers have given her a breadth of experience to tackle every type of financial issue, from complex retirement plans to establishing credit. She has been featured Voices of NY and Immpreneur as an expert on establishing and improving credit. She currently teaches classes and workshops in both Spanish and English at Brooklyn Cooperative Federal Credit Union and the Brooklyn Brainery.
Kristen believes that the financial planning process is empowering and equips people with the tools they need to realize their biggest dreams. In her free time she skips back to her home state of California, takes Afro-Caribbean dance classes, and travels anywhere her Spanish will take her.
